About Us

Reconciled bookkeeping company was founded as “Reconciled It” by Michael Ly & Bonnie Reese. Both are experienced entrepreneurs and business consultants. They wanted to provide a service for the growing demand of high-quality, online bookkeeping and accounting services.

Reconciled is a full-service virtual bookkeeping firm. We provide consistent, accurate online bookkeeping and accounting services. We do this while removing the burden of having to manage a part-time bookkeeper. In addition, we hire only the most talented accounting professionals. Our professionals possess (at minimum) an accounting certificate from an accredited institution and/or equivalent bookkeeping experience.

Likewise, our controllers and CFOs are knowledgeable accounting professionals. They have proven industry experience outside of public accounting.

FAQ

  • How much do bookkeeping services cost?

Basic bookkeeping for a single entity starts around $300-500/mo, however, most of our clients engage us in full-service work averaging from $1000-2000/mo. We also have programs for smaller businesses and can create a solution to fit almost any budget.

Reconciled tailors all of our services to your unique needs. Because every business is a little different, this means that our proposals are also tailored to suit your business. Reconciled uses a flat-rate pricing model, so when you have a busy month, you don’t need to worry about seeing an increase in accounting expenses. We also work really hard to improve the efficiency of the work, to deliver your results faster, and to ensure a mutually beneficial engagement.

  • How do I send receipts and other paper?

Reconciled uses cloud accounting technology and tools within the cloud accounting ecosystem, and can digitize almost any paper process. When we cannot digitize a process, Reconciled provides all of our clients with a ReceiptBank smartphone application and several secure portals, that provide digital communication streams and permanent digital retention for you and your business.

  • What if I want someone on site?

Reconciled specializing in cloud accounting, and we provide our services 100% remote. Some business owners feel more comfortable with someone on-site, however by performing our work remotely, we can focus on digitized processes that improve accounting operational efficiency and reduce the cost of providing accounting support. Our remote work culture at Reconciled is a “Video-On” philosophy, which means we utilize technology like video conferences and shared online workspaces and applications to get face time with our clients.

That said, in certain circumstances, we will provide advisory or enterprise support on-site. Connect with us today to find out more about how we can support your accounting needs, or to get specifics about site visits from advisors.

  • Is cloud accounting safe?

Cloud accounting has become a cornerstone in the accounting and finance world. While cloud services may have been vulnerable years ago, technology has made leaps in the security available to cloud-based products. At this point in time, if someone holds a bank account, or uses credit cards from any large or small institution, their financial information is likely already in the cloud – even if you don’t access it personally in the cloud.

Reconciled only engages with accounting technology that provides the security necessary to protect all of our clients. As a partner of Xero, Intuit Quickbooks, and Sage Intacct, the tech we leverage is of the highest quality and is provided by firms renowned for their cloud development teams, and the security in their platforms.

  • What does a remote bookkeeper do?

A bookkeeper can wear many hats, depending on the business they’re supporting.

In the simplest form, a bookkeepers job is to track all of the revenue and expenses that flow in and out of your business, ensure the proper coding and categorization of those transactions, and then Reconcile all of your accounts, so that your income, expenses, loans, bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts are accurately represented in your financial reports (i.e. Profit and Loss, balance sheet, etc.)

For businesses that generate revenue by invoicing clients, bookkeepers will often be involved in the invoicing process and following up on these invoices. These tasks fall under accounts receivable work.

Bookkeepers are also frequently involved in managing payroll and paying vendor, contractor, utility, and other bills on behalf of the company.

In some cases, bookkeepers also manage some administrative tasks.
